steering nowhere!!

i have a thundercraft boat with rack n pinion steering that is almost unbearable to try and steer!!i tried freeing it up but it still is incredible stiff! my boat is 4.45meters long does anyone know if i could just replace the cable or should i just replace the whole thing and if so with what?

It would be just as easy to change the whole thing, and I would use a Teleflex no feed back system.

You will be very pleased with the results

the teleflex rotary system, is much more owner friendly, should fit same cut out.

thanks very much for the help!how does one measure for a new teleflex system do i just measure the old one and also do i remove the entire box under the dash or just take the cable out of it?

My friend, take a look to this post, it could help you, there is some videos and pics. I already change my Rack and Pinion system to nfb rotary and I can tell you its GRRREAT!
