Hi, I have a mercruiser alpha 1 4.3l v6. I have noticed a leak coming from my steering actuator. The tubes have rusted so badly that the fluid is spraying out. I have attached a photo to indicate where the fluid is coming out.

OK here's me question, can I replace those tube with hose and would anyone know the size hose and thread size. steering.jpg

Thank you

Ayuh,... I suppose anything is Possible, but those bends will be tough to make, without crimpin' the tubing...
The threads are the same as those used in automotive brake lines....

Thank for the reply. So, those bends are there for a reason? Do I need to have the bends? Also can I just get brake tubes and have those bends put into them? Which is my best option? I I know that i would like to go out today and hose would be the way to go for right now.

Ayuh,... Hoses won't withstand the Pressures involved...

Brake lines will work, 'n you might be able to do the bends, with a brakeline bending tool...
