I have a 1996 yamaha 115. My problem is that when you are running it wants to pull hard to the right, and it is stiff to hold to the left. It does not have this problem at idle speeds. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: Steering problems

Have you tried adjusting the zinc trim tab on the bottom/back of your cavitation plate. Just remove that black plastic plug/cover, find the bolt down in there, loosen , adjust, re-tighten. I have mine adjusted with the trim tab turned all the way to the right and it holds the steering pretty much neutral at most higher speeds where it's most important. Good Luck!
