Steering

I have Merc 1500. Issue is the steering is binding somewhere in the mounting bracket where the steering rod goes through the mounting bracket. I cannot find in a book where it might show a bushing or something like that that may be wore out. Can some one tell if there is some sort of bushing in the mounting bracket where the steering goes through and if so, where can I find a replacement? Thank you.

Have you removed the steering cable link to make sure it is the steering pivot binding? A worn bushing would tend to be loose not binding, it sounds like it needs a good greasing.
