i was wondering if changing from cable steering on a duel stern drive to a hydraulic steering would help stable the steering so turning the wheel one way it wouldnt be "harder" and the other way make it more responsive(too much freeplay it feels like in the cables).

Ayuh,.... Generally speakin',... Hyd. steering is an improvement over cables...
