I have a 15 foot bow rider with a 1979 80hp Merc on it. I had a 17 Pitch merc Al. Prop on it and it ran around 5500 rpm's. I bought A Stelletto Vented Prop thats a 15 pitch now and I am havin venting probs. What I mean it seems like it slips way to much until almost 5 grand rpm's and close to w/o seems like I have a 2 speed trans in it. Does Steletto make any kind of plugs I could use to plug the vents one at a time or all of them to see if this corrects the prob? I never had this prob with the Al. prop.

Re: Stelletto Prop

I would think that partial and full plugs would be possible.

Re: Stelletto Prop

We have used silicone to plug the holes for testing. My gut feeling is that isn't the problem but easy to plug and test.

You have the right idea, plug the holes and test. It'd be helpful to see some pics of the prop.

Re: Stelletto Prop

I bought the prop from iboats it's a Steletto Advantage part # 811315 and it's brand new maybe a hour on it with no dings.Weather permitting I hope to take it out this weekend and plug the holes and see what it does. Thanks for the help
