Steps for replacing ‪OMC Trim Pump‬ & Motor?

When replacing an ‪OMC Trim Pump‬ & Motor, should you start with outdrive at In/Down position or Up/Out position?

Does it matter if outdrive is at In/Down position or Up/Out position before I disconnect lines and remove old Trim Pump & Motor?

Wondering if the fix will simply require installing new Trim Pump & Motor, connecting all lines, and filling reservoir before operating trim up and down to bleed the lines.

According to the manual link below, you want the drive up to relieve pressure before disconnecting lines.

Thanks. I saw that note about lifting outdrive before removing fill plug. Sounds like same prep before disconnecting lines from pump.
