Stereo fuse always blowing

i've got a stereo on my boat and i think the fuse is 10a (not sure) every year i use it, it always blows a fuse. should i put a bigger fuse on there? sorry I'm not a electrician

No don't do that. What you need to do is figure out why it keeps popping the fuse. My guess would be a bad wire or lose connection somewhere.

A 10 amp fuse allows up to 120 Watts input to the Radio.
Linear amplifiers can be as low as ~50% efficient. 120watts in = ~60 watts out Max.
If you turn up the volume on 4 speakers to 15 watts each (Pretty Loud!) you are approaching the fuse popping point.
If your Radio is 4 x 25 watts or more, it will probably want to draw over 10 amps at full volume.

The 10 amp fuse was selected to protect the common 16 gage wiring under the panel.
If you change the fuse to 20 amps you will also need to insure that the wiring is also at least 12 gauge.

Please describe the conditions under which it blows. As soon as you turn it on? As soon as you provide power to the unit? Or something else?
