Stern Drive upper shift lever bushing removal.

I got the old brass bushing out but there is still a metal piece pressed in from the bottom, does that thane to come out also.?

It may be what's left of the seal. Is it stainless steel? If so, yes, it needs to come out.

Thanks it was stainless steel. I have removed it.
