Stern Light

I have a 1992 Ranger 391V. I blew the bulb in the stern light and I can't find a bulb for it anywhere. I was told it wasnt one of those bulbs that you can buy at wal-mart or advance auto parts because you can only buy the bulbs to fit the newer ranger lights there. I have the bulb that Ranger used before they changed. I went to West Marine to get the bulb, but forgot the burned out one. What model bulb will fit the 92 stern light?

look on the brass base for a number. and go to auto parts store, like NAPA

What does the bulb look like? Is it about an inch and a half long, with 2 pointed metal contacts at each end? or a push and turn round bulb? I have the first and its 5 watts any good boating store will carry what you need
