I am going to have to get into my sterndrive to fix a leak. I refuse to pay my local shop 800 bucks to get it re-sealed. I am very mechanically inclined, I have a decent shop and I plan to get a shop-repair manual, and have at it. Now what tools will I need to purchase?
And what the heck is the bellows? Thanks

Service manual

I am lucky we have a merc drive night school with a 44 hour course on the alpha drive

Your gonna need a LOT more than 800 dollars in tools :) to reseal a drive correctly and the big problem is its a service manual not a training manual

Big torque wrench, tiny dial torque wrench to set rolling torque
