Hi Spinner - the only stick steer I've seen is in a package deal through Tracker i think.. I want to say its a mod-v .
I think they tag it as a "Crappie" or "pan fish" model not sure on the HP rating or specs tho..

www.trackerboats.com -- I think

I have a 1978 kenzie kraft stick steer its great for fishing if he wants to do anything else like pull a tube or ski don't get one. mine has a 55hp.
Tracker,G3 and i think lowe still makes them
Fisher used to make them, but they are owned by tracker now.

Seen plenty of them, but never over 40hp. Most I've seen are 25hp and under.

Looked at Teleflex site some time ago, and their stick steering system says 40hp and under.

Same for these: http://www.shootnhunt.com/catalog/JM/boat_controls_and_steering/ezy_glide/6301037.html
Thanks all. Barlow, went there and did not look around too much though.

jimr, that's all he will do is fish out of it.
I will check them some more.
I also thought I seen one time that Weld Boats made them though not for sure.

Hey roscoe went to the link and also found one rated at 70HP, so I know they must make a boat out there somewhere for this application.
oops.

Ever drive one of those?

With a big motor, I would be scared I would fall against the stick and go to full steering left in a millesecond, and flip out of the boat.
Hey roscoe, I did have one a few years ago with a 50 Merc on it and it took some getting use too, but after that it was pretty cool, driving and fishing from the same spot.

FYI, weld-craft makes them now.
took a look to see if I was dreamin' and found this thing Spinner.
2005 TRACKER® Panfish 16

I'm not a Tracker guy nor do I know a damn thing about the stick steers but, the Fisher that was mentioned jolted my memory of a past sighting also - I don't know what to think as you can tell.
Yea I seen that Barlow.
I think he is wanting something a little bigger.
Like I said in above post, weld-craft makes them and he will check them out I guess.
