stiff steering question.

I just went from hydraulic steering on my old boat to 2-cable teleflex nfb on a single 150 opti. on 2005 20ft trophy 2002, 50 or so hours of service. Seems like alot of effort needed, especially when close to or coming back from full over in either direction. What say you??

Ayuh,... They tend to corrode where the cable passes through the Tilt Tube...

The cap over the nut that hold the steering wheel to the helm on my boat was lose so water ran down and got into the helm and coroded the gears in there.
