I have been running a 16' welded alum stick steer for several years . The stick has always been real stifff at higher RPM. Raising the motor didn't help much and now < after a salt water trip this summer, The steering is almost frozen at any speed --- nearly have to bend the rod to move it. What do I need to do to remedy this? All serious suggestions appreciated-----------THANKS

Re: Stiff Stick Steering

Get a new steering cable, or remove it from the sheathing and clean it. Probably a rusted/dirty cable.
