Stiff throttle on Tiller handle

I have a great running 1980 Evinrude 35hp tiller that is ready for the water but the throttle is hard to turn. It does move if I turn it but it's stiff and hard to turn.
What needs to be lubed to free this up ? Is it an adjustment or just something that needs some grease ?

Realize this is an older post, but I have the same problem with my '86 30hp.

Probably best to start your own thread...with that said, is there not a tensioner that you can twist at the end of the tiller arm where the stop switch is? I know there are on some of the smaller models and the sailboat models.

There is a twist knob, but it's an idle control.
