19 pitch. SS. Anybody running this set up? I found the prop brand new in craigslist for $175.

I hit rev limiter with black max 19p, but was thinking With less slippage from SS I might be ok with Stiletto.

This thread will be interesting. I would think a 19 inch prop is the same across the board and that you would get the same slip on all 19 inch props. If you hit the rev limiter then you need to go up in pitch or not go WOT. Lets see who says what. :pop2:

I've read, and whether it's true or not I don't know. But an aluminum prop will flex and vibrate under load and will cause some slippage, thus dropping you a pitch when compared to a SS prop that does not flex. Who knows

You can NOT make generalizations about the difference between Aluminum and stainless props.

1. Stainless props of the SAME design (rake, blade area, cupping etc.), manufacturer and size (diameter and pitch) as the aluminum they replace WILL run about 200 RPM faster. Because of less flex and less drag through the water they will also increase speed slightly.

2 because of different blade area, cupping, rake, etc. stainless props of different design and manufacturer than the aluminum can either turn faster or slower than the original aluminum they are replacing.

3. Best bet is to repost in the prop section and wait for someone with experience in that particular swap to amswer

You don't say where you are located. Maybe you could put it on and test it.

If it is a great deal and it doesn't work for you, sell it and make a little $.

Kentucky. Boat has been winterized so it won't be until the spring until I can try it out. But you're right I'm sure I could make my money back if it wasn't right for me.

stiletto is aggressive cupping - it will be like running the next size up - so it should drop your rpm 400-600 is my guess. if you don't love it keep as a spare or just re-sell in the spring - you wouldn't loose more than 50 bucks to try it out and that's a win/win when it comes to props in my opinion.
