OK, Its now time to purchase a new prop for my 1978, 115HP Johnson. I have had the STILETTO StainlessSteel props recommended, and they look like a great prop for my needs. The only problem is, this site doesn't sell them.
Can someone recommend a dealer where I can get a good price??? or should just get from OVERTONS???
THANKS for your time!!!
Jim ;)

Yes you can buy them from Overtons -- if you are positive about which one you need. Once you but it, you own it. My suggestion is that you hook up with a performance center so that it's possible to exchange it (as long as it's still in new condition and within a reasonable time period).

The other advantage is that a performance center can give you advise on set up etc. If you need assistance getting hooked up, let me know. dhadley50@aol.com.

As for iboats selling Stilettos -- the door is wide open. All they gotta do is step in.

JB, Mods -- you there????

I know every set-up is different, but don't rule out a NAUTICPRO SS.
I've ran about everything on the market, and minus specialty props, (power-tech, Mazco, Hydromotive) The NAUTICPRO is my best performer at 13-3/8X17".
It's a Teflon coated prop so if you want a mirror finish, this won't do, however I have removed all paint and spent WAY TOO MUCH TIME polishing mine......... :D

If you do not have a local prop shop that will let you try out props, We have had VERY good service from Dans Discount Propellers, 8300 Pontiac Lake Road, Whitelake MI. 98386. The props are Turbo, (which make stilleto) and they come from the dealer! For a $25.00 Restock fee they will let you return whichever prop you do not want provided it isnt damaged! We now have two of them (only paid for one) and havnt made up our minds yet! They are great to deal with!!

LubeDude

I agree.
Dan's will drop ship you a prop directly from the Turbo company. If you don't like it, and the stickers are still on it, ship it directly back to Turbo, and for $25 they will ship you a different pitched prop. If you wanted a completely different model of Turbo, you pay the $25 plus the differnce.

I don't know what Dan's policy is if you wanted to exchange for a different brand.

Vasili, that prop won't fit a 13 spline, 4" gearcase, and 14-1/2X19" would be over-kill on that (115) engine........
