Stoked about my new motor!!!

Found a smoking deal today as far as I can tell. 78 Johnson 115 hp. She is in great condition, starts right up and runs beautifully, shifts smooth, and the price was right--$600. I love the fact that it bolted right up to my boat without re-drilling, same bolt pattern as my 72 65 horse---thanks Johnson. I looked at a lot of junk before I found this one, and I was getting discouraged. Now all I need is some good weather for a nice long test run.

That's great deal on a great solid old powerhouse. Make sure the waterpump impeller is newer than 2 years, If you do not know then put in a new one. Prop it in the upper range between 5,500 and 6,000. 6,000 is nothing for that engine!

Agreed- great motor and sounds like a great deal! It may very well out live all of us...
