So last year we had a problem with the carbs gumming up. This year I rebuilt the carbs and put all new gas/oil and stabil in the fuel tank. Engine ran great. I took the cover off a couple days after it ran and I could see it was gumming up again. Am I missing something? I'm going to replace my fuel/water separator. Is there anything else Im missing? Or not doing correctly? Gas to oil mixture is correct. I trailer and store the engine all the way up.

That is not usual. Carbs can go many years without gumming up. Just exactly what are you seeing that looks like the carbs gumming up?

Hopefully the picture is big enough. This is unfortunately after I blew on those passages but it will have that slimy look and will cover the front of the passage. Last year something clogged and only one carb was running and that's what the carb looked like when it clogged. Maybe that's not gumming up? I realized I didn't undo the cover plugs and clean the idle jets maybe there's something in that.

Sometimes the fuel stabilizer looks like slime. You might check to see if that it is.
