Please pass the word to everybody you know to stop for school bus when they are flashing their red lights.

A man ran the lights on December 20 2011 and killed my 11 year old daughter.

Dan, I am so sorry for your loss. As I read your post I was looking at my 10yo daughter. I couldn't imagine losing her. Also, I used to drive a school bus and would get furious over idiots that would blow through the lights. Pay attention drivers!

My thoughts and prayers go out for you, your family, and all your daughters classmates and friends, and the school bus driver and all the students on the bus that had to watch what happened.

Man, thats just awful....very sorry for you man, hang in there.
That said, what sort of a moron does not know what flashing lights on a school bus means?....they should publicly hang that clown.

Our department takes bus stop arm violations VERY seriously, and rightfully so.

Oh my god 5 days before Christmas?? That means there were presents under the tree with her name on them on everything. Damn dude, one sentence of typing and I'm a balling mess over here.

Stay strong man. I admire you, if someone had killed my daughter I wouldn't be posting on a boating forum. I would be writing letters from a prison cell for first degree murder.

Oh Wow, I sure didn't expect this when opening the post. Sorry to hear about your loss. I lost a close friend in the 3rd grade from the same thing. I've been known to turn in license numbers for those who blast by when the bus "ALL STOP" lights are on.

I confronted one violator about blasting by a bus one time. His response? "I didn't see the bus". Oh really a big yellow bus and you didn't see it. I shook my head in disbelief and walked off dialing 911 on my phone.
