I have metal trim around the edges of my storage bin lids. They don?t look that great and have some sharp edges. It seems like I have seen black rigid plastic trim on other boats, but cant find it. Whats the proper name for it, or does anyone have a link? Thanks.

I have something like this on my boat, only mine is white. I am sure you can get it in many colours. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GREY...ryZ50443QQihZ018QQitemZ280138293129QQtcZphoto

I am not sure of the proper name. I think it may be glued onto mine. The size sold on ebay may be too large for your application. It says up to a 1/4"

I did a search on LIP TRIM and found this site. http://www.trimco.info/edge-trim.html They say you can order it with the adhesive already on and it comes in many sizes and shapes.

thats along the lines of what i'm looking for but i need it to fit over 3/4" plywood wraped in carpet. does yours seem like it will stretch over larger sizes then its gap? some of the stuff i found read like it streched wider then its gap.

Re: Storage Bin Trim

The stuff I have on my boat is used around the metal edges to protect the sharp edges. I thought you were referring to this.

The storage doors are made out of plywood wrapped in carpet. They have no edging on them. Anywhere there is carpet wrapped plywood there is no edging on my boat. It seems to work fine like this.

I thought most boats are like mine. Yours must be different.
