Any tips for storing a boat in the cold of Wisconsin (40 above one day, 40 below the next), in a uninsulated/unheated garage? (excluding your typical winterization process)

Just make sure it winterized correctly. I store mine the same way in Northern Illinois. Its winterized professionally, I cover it, summerize in spring and I'm good to go.

Wash out the cooling system with fresh water then drain fully! Not okay seems good enough...drain it..blow it out with some compressed air...hang the boat upside down if you have to. Or use RV antifreeze...but haven't figured out how that is done. Change the oil, change the lower unit oil/fluid, fog the engine (fogging before oil change sorry..got it reversed), change oil filter of course and fuel/water filter if you've got one. Wash, wax, cover and dream of next summer. Oh, pull the batterie(s) and trickle charge now and then to keep them topped up, and add fuel stabilizer before fogging as well. Sheesh, it's a long list...but you get the idea.

I'm your next door neighbor in soon to be equally frozen Minnesota and am a little confused about your statement "excluding normal winterization". Normal winterization is what you normally do up here. There is nothing more than that nor anythng less. Normal winterization includes fuel system treatment, fogging (although the importance of that is overstated for normal off-season storage), putting the battery(ies) on maintenance chargers, lower unit lub changes, cooling system drainage and engine oil change for I/Os, covering the boat, and then then storing it slightly bow high with the drain plug removed. If the boat is stored outside then "tent" the cover to prevent rain/snow build up which can sag the cover or tarp. Rodent protection if that is an issue for you.

That is exactly what I was wondering - if there was or was not any extra maintenance required.

Thanks for the feed back everyone!

Ayuh,... Head on down to the I/Os- Motors forum,...
At the top is a sticky called the Adults Only section,...
In there, Don has a mighty fine write-up on Regular Mantanance,+ both Winterization,+ Summerization...
