Storage seat

I have just purchased my first boat (small Runabout). I plan on replacing the seats and building a storage bench. I have some capret to cover the seat with and will cushion the top with foam. What is the best wood for this project? Regular plywood, treated plywood, or marine board. The boat will be covered whenever not on the lake and I am working on a budget. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Re: Storage seat

Outdoor plywood and you have multiple choices of treating it.

Leave it alone
Paint it
Treat it with decking water sealer
Coat it with epoxy paint
cout it with fiberglass resin and cloth

Bob
