Re: Straight Talk Phone Plans

I finally got my straighttalk plan going. So far so good. Only limitation is that you can pretty much forget updating apps for iphone through it. Very Flakey! Also, it won't let me hook up to my internet camera so apparently will not let you do anything with high bandwidth usage although streaming videos on facebook seems to work.

Nice to be paying $50 instead of $110 to ATT for the exact same service except now I have unlimited voice and text.

Just kicked into the plan yesterday. I've had wireless most of the time close by, so I've not had anything weird with the updates yet. Yes, the price is going to be nice ... and I didn't even have a data plan!

Re: Straight Talk Phone Plans

I have had Straight Talk for a few years now. I have the billing setup to automatically bill my credit card every cycle for the $45 unlimited plan. That helps keep me from having to buy airtime every month, or have an interruption in service. So every month, I just pay the card instead of buy airtime.
Like some mentioned before, I ported my AT&T number over to the new phone.
I couldn't be pleased more. As mentioned, their phones are crappy, but if you bring your own phone, the deal can't be beat.
The only con that I have (besides crappy phones) is that if you have to talk to customer service, you will be dealing with someone in India and sometimes their English is hard to understand.
Fortunately, you can do just about everything you need to do on the website and you don't have to deal with people much at all.
The only other thing I can think of is if you do the $30 plan, the minutes don't rollover. Once a new cycle starts, any unused minutes are gone forever.
I've done a lot of research on prepaid deals, and Straight Talk is by far the best deal going.
