It's all how it's taken care of, just like a car. One that's kept inside, washed regularly, and all the maintenance done can outlast the owner, barring any accidents anyway.
Of course, very few people put that much care into anything, and not just because of laziness. So they rot in
maintenance and care go a long way to extending the service life.
