Strange registration number - anybody know what ZC is?

I was persuing my local Cragislist and I found this:

Anybody ever see a boat registration like that? "ZCB16804M80D" I think the last character is D, it could be 0.

Also, does anybody know what kind of boat that is? I am thinking I might go look at it for a project, if the motor runs I think it might we worth a restoration.

Weird - actually looks like it is the HIN
Is the boat made by one of these companies?
• ALCAN PRODUCTS LTD
• CANADIAN BOATS

If it is a HIN it would be a 1980 model made in Nov. Serial Number 16804

hmmm, thats interesting I didn't even think of the HIN.

I have not talked to the guy, I might call him this weekend and take a look at the boat.

I'd take a real careful look at that title. Very odd. and all for $500?

At least you know it's not the "shipping scam" (where the numbers in the photo are usually missing) because it's too cheap!
