Gonna try to keep this short.
Old pump would go up but now down. The down switch would just click and after hitting it about 30 times the pump would finally run, but the trim would NOT lower. Replaced the pump. Now the Down switch runs every time I hit it, but I'm not even getting a click out of the up switch. I haven't filled the pump or anything yet. My dad ran direct power to each solenoid and they clicked and ran, but when I try it from the switch I get nothing.. Ideas? For now i'm thinking about just bypassing everything and putting in a toggle switch. Its just really strange that after replacing the pump the opposite is now happening..

Check all the grounds, check the fuse that supplies power to the switch panel. If you own a test light or DMM, then break that out and start diagnosing the fault properly, not just changing things because they MIGHT be the problem....

Got the right manual? (NOT seloc or clymer, the GENUINE manual!) Use the circuit diagrams in there and troubleshoot logically.

What are you working on? Make, model, year, serial numbers..... (of the engine and drive, we don't care what boat they're in)

Try cleaning the contacts and connections at the switch.

We aren't mind readers, If you can't tell us what you have, as far as serial numbers, model numbers, year, what engine it is, what drive you have, then you don't get a lot of good help. Just general 1st step electrical clean the connections checks.
