Strange Yamaha model code

I'm thinking about buying a Yamaha 20 hp. The problem is the model number is 20MSHY. I have a photo of the placard, attached below, and that is what is stamped on it. The Y at the end indicates that the model year is 2000. I've verified this on several websites, such as http://www.marineengine.com/mfr/yamaha_models.html

When I go to the Yamaha company website:

http://www.yamaha-motor.com/partviewer/default.aspx?ls=outboard

There is no selection for 20 hp made in 2000.

????????

The numbers beneath the model number are: 6L3 S 005623. Beneath the 3 and to the right a bit, the letter "T" is stamped on the placard.

Other questions:

The "L" in 6L3 indicates "left-hand". Is this the prop rotation? What's normal?

Also, the reason I went to the Yamaha company website is because I'm wondering if I can convert this tiller model into a remote control. I couldn't find that answer because of the model number problem. Anybody know?

The asking price is $900. Comments on the price are welcome.

Re: Strange Yamaha model code

6L3 is the model code for this motor, the prop is a regular right hand rotation. S is for short shaft, ie 15". 005623 is the serial number indicating it is a model year 2000, serial range 005095 - 005901. The T is the international letter for model year 2000. This engine was not sold in the US in 2000 and hence doesnt show up on any US-sites. It was however sold in Canada so maybe your engine is imported..
