If you have some soft spots, start there with removal and inspection under the deck.
With the way bass boats are made, sometimes removing the cap is the best way. Precautions are needed before taking off the cap to keep the hull straight. Not familiar with your Stratos, but most bass boats have plenty of stuff the way to work on the deck.
