stripped trim manifold stud, Alpha1, Gen 1 Sterndrive,

Hello iBoats. I have a 1988 Cobalt Condurre 202 with a 5.7 L MerCruiser engine and Alpha 1 sterndrive. I was replacing the interior trim lines (supply lines) when I managed to strip the threads off the of the bow most trim manifold stud. This is the stud that holds the manifold to the gimbal housing. The stud isn't broken, but the threads are not going to work to hold the manifold in place.

Any advice on the best way to remove or repair the stud? Does anyone happen to have drawing that shows what the thread size in the gimbal housing? Thank you!

I take both studs out when I have to get there for anything. They just stick down a little too far my liking.
