'97 Wellcraft 160CCF. I was mounting a second battery in the back today and when I drilled, out shoots the water. Pee stream out of my deck...hmmm. Not the original design I'm sure. Out come the hole saws and after multiple cuts, I have water on top of my foam. I drain the water and core the foam. It is not wet. It crumbles to a fine dust that floats very well actually. I know my boat is 185 pounds heavy so I have more water somewhere. In my search, I am thinking of adding some 1.5x3' hatches. Is foam put in every void before the cap is put on? Is it sectioned? I have contacted Wellcraft for schematics to no avail. This boat is not old enough nor did I pay enough to do an extensive restoration for 185 lbs. Ideas? Thanks as always.

Once the deck starts leaking, that foam will start sucking water from anywhere.
Even from New Zealand.

it's at the perfect age to be in that condition, if you were kept outside uncovered. you seen plenty of post here, you know the drill. time for some heavy maintenance. you may get thru this season, but it is only going to get worse.
