WELL im here to tell you in my case the transducer does indeed work shooting through the aluminum hull! I mixed up a batch of fasco 2 part steelflex epoxy and poured it on the bottom of the innerhull close to the back then heated the stuff with a heatgun as it gets rid of airbubbles.I took the boat out today with 2 fishfinders and they both read exactly the same.Zero clutter zero interference!
