stubborn bushing

I have a 84 70hp johnson.I am having a heck of a time replacing the middle bushing on the side lever
!!! there are 3 ,small one med size one and a large one, that go in the side lever.. the med one i cannot get in there!!!! anyone that knows what im talking about , would apprect. any advice you can give me ..thanks......

rocker arms are only found in motors with tappets & valves so i think something is wrong here , because they never made the 1984 70hp four stroke then ,

Sorry side lever ...not a rocker arm ,but joe got the question ...Your all missing the question or the point.....jezzzzzzz. Tried that joe with a hair dryer ,but it didnt work on the first try ..How long do you think I should heat the SIDE LEVER for ....Like your op..Thanks
