I have a 1964 40hp Evinrude electric shift (40463) that seems to be stuck in forward gear. I haven't tried powering the shift circuit yet. Might it just be sticking, or is something possibly wrong with it? I just got it from my brother after it sat a year or 2 and I drained some water out of the lower unit. The last time he used it, the prop hub spun on him and he needed a tow. I don't remember if he had also hit anything with it or not that time. Any ideas?
