Went skiing. Pulled 2 skiers...after we were done...Couldn't get boat, in-gear. NO Forward & NO Reverse. Had to get towed-in. 1992 Maxium I/O..MercCruiser Gen2....Tried turning prop, by, hand..In-Gear. Wouldn't budge. (Thinking that's a good thing) Because if I would've been able to turn, in gear, I'm thinking I shouldn't have been able to turn, which, I couldn't..Shift-Cables, seem to be, intact...I Don't know...clutch Problem, or, cables out of adjustment...Any help that could be provided..would be Greatly Appreciated?...anyone with any thoughts?? Thank-You!!!

welcome aboard

you have been checking alignment every year, correct?

if not, the first thought is gears grenaded in the drive upper (pull the cap and look), second thought is coupler failed, last is the prop hub is gone

however since you cant turn the prop in either direction. Im going with grenaded drive gears
