Ok so wanted to swap the props over on my boats... on my 80hp i loosened the nut and everything slid off nicely... the 90... not so nice it seems to be stuck on the splines - any ideas ive tried hitting with a block of wood but dont want to bend the prop.... Cheers

this is one example as to why we pull the props at least once a year and grease the splines.

start applying liberal amounts of kroil or pb blaster to the splines and let it sit.

worse case, you will end up cutting the prop off by splitting it with a cut-off wheel

As Scott said, tilt the motor full up. With the prop nut removed, Liberally apply some penetrating oil to the splines, and let her sit a while. Put a 2X4 between the prop blades and the gearcase. Pry gently, move the prop to the next blade, and pry some more. Repeat a few times. This will work if she is not too badly corroded. If no luck, try some sort of puller.
