Stuck Shuttle Valve

1989 120hp johnson , just rebuilt power trim unit, hit the switch and one lower ram came up then the other, tried to lower motor it came down to the rams and stopped, rams will not push in even with the manual release open, wont raise either,,could it be the shuttle valve and if so how do you solve the problem,,thanks for the help,,,

Engine lowering to the trim rams and no further is normal.... the trim rams do not retract in manual let down mode.

Raise engine to it extreme tilt up position, close manual release valve, then fill the reservoir to overflowing. Insert and screw tighten the reservoir fill/seal screw. Run PTT up and down a few times then refill the reservoir as stated above. Let us know if that cures the problem.

Thanks so much for the help,,,worked like a champ,,cant believe it was just low on fluid but then again ive never rebuilt a power trim unit before,,,thanks again for the help!!!
