Stuck tachometer?

Hi all! Have a dash with Faria intruments. The last two trips I have noticed my tach sticking around 3000 rpm when I know I am doing more. A few taps and she come up to normal. It 'sticks' across a large range of rpms. As I tap on it, it works its way to a proper reading. The problem is getting worse with each trip. <br />The dash stays dry all the time [typically - but how dry can you keep a boat?] but i do notice condensation on the inside of the glass when conditions favour it. Before I go cracking this thing open, any tips and tricks? Is this a serviceable problem?

Re: Stuck tachometer?

I had the same problem with my Faria tach. I called them up and they had me send it to them. They just sent me a replacement free. Mine was 2 yr. old. Do a search for Faria, their website has a phone no. you can call.

I'm not sure. When I called them I told them what year I bought the boat. They told me to send it and they would repair or replace free.
