My steering on my 1996 70 hp evinrude is very tight, and the steering wheel started slipping and making a loud noise when I turn. The teleflex is new, and I have cleaned and maintained the tube. I think the mounting bracket/tube is full of old grease. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with this situation? Please let me know how to get into that area. Also, can I replace the bezel without having to replace the whole system?
