Stung by Kill switch again!!

Everyone is ready to head out and it won't start! I grab the DC tester light and here I go. No voltage at the distributor. Voltage at the ignition though. After about and hour (with everyone waiting non-patiently) trying to figure out where the current is interrupted, my test light leads me to a little device under the dash. I look around to see what it is from the front and.....there it is, the KILL SWITCH!. My son while cleaning pulled it out and put the cord away, leaving switch in the off position. This same thing happened a few years ago, and I worked feverishly for a couple days on it. I worry about myself sometimes. My CRS is worsening as the years go by.

Don't be so hard on yourself! <br />I was coming in from hunting in pitch dark in the middle of a rain storm. 5 miles from camp I hit a log with the trike and came to an abrupt stop. Engine won't start. Check fuel and ignition only to find "no spark". Crouched down soaking wet I checked all connections, wires and plugs. 1/2 an hour later......I peered over at the kill switch. I'm not sure if I was happy or mad to see it in the off position!!<br />I guess the good thing is.....if you learn it the hard way, the less likely you are to forget it a second time.... or maybe rain down your neck helps engrain it in your brain

Back a few years ago, I tried to start my Harley for about 45 min with the kill switch off. Tickled a few of my neighbors watching me get all worked up. Felt pretty bright when finally noticed problem after trying to push start the **** thing after I drained battery. Man it was fun! LOL
