All I've ever heard is that when changing out lower unit fluid you should fill the unit through the bottom hole....my question is why can't you fill it from the top hole? wouldn't that be a lot easier?
Buy the pump for a couple of bucks and pump it full from the bottom up. Its fast, simple, you know when its full, and you don't have to mess with squeeze tubes.
