My auot bilge pump wasn't working properly and we had tremedous amounts of rain the last 2 days. I went and checked on the boat tonight and the water level had reached the self bailing cockpit. I believe that it was motly if not all freshwater in the boat but I managed to turn the pump on and bail out the boat but nothing else works, no lights, no trim & tilt, and no crank. There were bubble coming from both negative posts and the after the eater drained there is a gray film that rubs off the positive and all the connections are corroded.

Do I need to buy two new batteries again? I just bought them last year, Interstate batteries.

What type of batteries are they? You need to clean and test them to determine if they are toast or not.

Dood i used to work at a Golf Course we sprayed off the batteries almost every day. Helped out with terminal corrosion you should be fine unless some nasty water got inside the battery which shouldnt have.
