The problem I had with shifting and the engine dying is fixed. I followed the directions in adjusting the shift cable and when I got to the reverse part the prop would try really hard counter clock wise. But I keep at it and it freed up. I put the boat in gear forward and backwards, while running and had no problems. The only bad part is now I'm stuck with a 63 dollar cable I didnt use, I opened the bag to look at the paper work, so I doubt the will take it back. Just wondering if anyone had the same kind of problem and fix?

Yep,<br />Don't be ebaying that cable too soon........<br />You Still Need it.........<br /><br />I'll bet Double or Nothing on that $63.00,<br />That You'll be Installing it,<br />Within the next 20 engine hours.........<br /><br />I also Totally Agree with DHP's comment in your Other post............<br />When I go in for a Lower Shift Cable replacement,<br />I Always Change out All the Rubber parts in the Gimbel Assembley.........

Ok I'll keep the cable. you think fix will only last 20 hours? So I probably should buy the other cable and replace both of them plus the gimbel assembly.

I Think you've only Masked the Symptoms.......<br />I don't Think you've fixed the Problem..........
