Re: Suggestions 19-22 LCD TV

I have a Polaroid 20" LCD HDTV that I got at Wal Mart for under $300. It is great. 1080i, inputs to use as a monitor, DVD player and whatever. It is on my antenna and makes better pictures than my 55" Sony that is on the satellite.

Mine is on a little pedestal, but it is removable and I would bet that a wall mount would be fairly easy to fabricate. Worth a look.

Philips, or Magnavox, are good sets, (check the reviews at Walmart) & nice looking, also reasonably priced. I recently picked up a 42" Magnavox, and I think this brand has one of the brightest natural background pictures (during dark scenes in movies) that I've ever seen, without the brightness or contrast boosted all the way! Usually when a scene goes dark on an HDTV, you can't see anything? My last CRT TV, a 36" Panasonic was good with this, but the Philips/Magnavox is even better ;) Tried a 40" RCA before this, no, not quite as good,,, but a bit sharper picture, although almost grainy?

I got mine at Sam's club, there's no Costco even close? But, anyway, those are both decent brands, hows the picture, & sound?
