Sun Tracker position light burn out

Reposting. I have 2011 Sun Tracker 21' pontoon. Left bow position light (red one) keeps burning out. I have replaced bulb holder with factory part, checked all wiring for shorts and bare wires all Ok, checked fuses and they seem fine. Few times the light worked the bulb was extremely hot before burn out. Right side (green) light works fine, as does anchor light.
Any ideas on how to fix?

Replace the bulb. (Again!)
Fuses, wiring, and shorts have nothing to do with the bulb burning out.
Find another brand of bulbs. Sometimes Murphy comes to visit!
Auto stores typically have the same bulb under a different name.
