Sunbird omc 4.3 volvo penta

have just imported from usa and charged batteries with guarentee from previous owner that it would start 1st time.<br /><br />have checked all wiring etc.<br /><br />Engine will not even turn over.<br /><br />Starter motro has power to it and all relevent checks made.<br /><br />All I here is what I presume is the oil primer and then nothing happens on final turn of key.<br /><br />Does boat have to be in water with engine at full lock down?<br /><br />Are there any special starting procedures?<br /><br />Regards<br /><br />martin Poole

You Missed Something, SomeWhere...........<br />

There's No Oil Primer...... Fuel Pump, Maybe....<br />

Is there Power at the Solenoid at this time ?????<br />

No.....<br />But,<br /> You'd Better have Flush Muffs on it, Or It'll Burn Up.......<br />

Well,<br />In Your case,<br />A Test Light will Probably tell you Where you're Not getting Power, <br />Where You Need It........ <br /><br />Welcome to iboats, BTW........... ;)
