Kids. Don't you just love 'em?

"Child Molester"

As I left the supermarket, I noticed two little
kids, maybe six or seven years old, selling
candy bars in front of the store to raise
money for their school band.

"I'll buy a chocolate bar on one condition,"
I said to one of the boys. "That you eat it for
me." As I handed him back the candy bar,
he shook his head. "I can't," he said.

"Why not?"

Looking me in the eye, he responded gravely,
"Because I'm not supposed to take candy
from strangers."
__________________________________________________

"Spelling"

My daughter Sydney is in the first grade and
doing very well especially in spelling. A couple
of weeks ago she came home with her new words
and we were studying them for her upcoming test.
We came to the word "knit" and I asked her to spell
it. She said, "n-i-t". I said, "No, try again."

She said, very slowly, "n-i-t".

I said, "Sydney, I know you know how to spell this
word, try again." Very aggravated and verrrrry
slowly (like I was just not getting the whole picture)
she spelled, "N-I-T!" Finally I told her the correct
spelling, k-n-i-t. She looked at me, hands on hips
and said, "THE K is SILENT!!!"
