Hi, I was a nervous wreck this weekend. Governor had mandatory evacuations for 8am Friday, Well I was down at the boat on Thursday night prepping for the storm. On Friday I wanted to have the boat pulled and the answering machine at the marina was basically they were closed due to evacuations. I had no way to get to the marina as all roads became out only. So I was hoping that the boat survived, my fear was either the dock gave way or storm surge would be higher then pilings and sink the boat. Well at 10am, Ocean City NJ opened and roads into were cleared. I was down there fast, and was grateful the boat survived.

A lot of boats were pulled, I had to go down the shore line and climb out onto the dock as the ramp down was ripped off and was under the floating dock. I can see it being a few days before the dock is repaired and the other boats re-launched. I got the boat 1 year ago and was just launched on JUly 1st this year. Well all is good now.

Re: Survived Irene

Paw, Glad to see you and your boat survived.

Pretty intense from what the news was showing. I know they were showing 25' waves on the Jersey Shore. As a kid my family used to go th Long Beach Island,

I wouldn't count on the dock being repaired right away. I think there may higher priority items on the list

I hope every one here at iboat's faired as well as you.
