Hey everybody, I am new to the outbaord/inflatable world and need a little advice. I just purchased a Zodiac Typhoon 360s and a 15hp suzuki EFI engine to go with it. I have read long post on the ill effects of ethanol and was wondering if my little engine needs a water separator fuel filter intalled as part of the fuel system. I figure i could mount it to the transom. Or should I use just an inline filter? or is the factory engine filter enough for what I will be doing?

Also is it ok to trailer an inflatable with the engine mounted to the back and the engine in the down position?

thanks

Re: Suzuki 15hp efi engine/ and inflatable trailering question

If you can buy alcohol free gasoline, by all means use that in your outboard. It is now available in our area and no more gasohol will be used with our motors.

There are marine additives available to help with the alcohol problems, so use it in your fuel. It will help with phase separation and extend the useful life of the gasohol.

Unless you have a bracket of some sort, the preferred position of the motor while trailing is the down position.
