Suzuki 4 stroke DF70- hesitates while accelerating

I have a suzuki 4 stroke DF70 outboard.On aacceleration it is sluggish and hesitates.After running the motor a while it seems to clear up. I have changed the gas, change the fuel filter and checked the sparkplugs. This motor is less than three years old. Any sugestion or help would be appreciated.

I have the same engine and had a similar problem. I replaced the spark plugs and it fixed the problem. A spark plug can look good when checking it but still may be bad. I only paid $1.75 for each plug so at that price I plan to change them every year.<br /><br />Let us know if that fixed your problem.<br /><br />Dave Gulczinski

Dave,<br />Thanks for the advice. I put the plugs in and tested it out today. It does not miss, skip or hesitate. From now on I will change out the plugs every year. It sure does save me a trip to Suzuki repair shop. Thanks again.<br /><br />Mark Whaley
